Day 1: Tour to Mount Meru:

In the morning you will drive from Arusha to the Momella Gate, located in the Arusha National Park. At the gate, accompanied by an armed ranger, your mountain guide and team you will trek to Miriakamba where you enjoy lunch en route. The Momella Gate is located near Shamba La Mbogo, a natural glade in the Mt. Meru Game Reserve and is situated at 1,500m above sea level. Two routes are available from Momella Gate: the first route goes through the forest towards the crater floor and then steeply up to Miriakamba Hut.
