
14-Day Gorilla Adventure Tour
This is a 14-Day Gorilla Adventure Tour, spans two of Africa’s most beautiful countries: Uganda and Rwanda. It encompasses activity filled visits to the most prominent national parks in Uganda and Rwanda. the tour showcases nature, cultures and history through numerous touristic sites that are visited.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport:
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalization of the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide who will then drive you to your accommodation. The guest house is located in the quiet environs of Entebbe town a few minutes’ drive from the airport.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary:
After breakfast you shall start your journey to Murchison Falls National park driving through Kampala city. You will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you shall have a walking Safari to the White Rhinos that have been re-introduced in Uganda. In the afternoon, proceed to the legendary Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3: Morning Game drive and afternoon Boat ride:
After breakfast you shall go for an early Morning game drive. The trip takes you through beautiful landscapes made up of savannah grasslands down to the delta point in search of Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Buffalo, Elephant and several antelope as well as Bird species. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the River Nile to the bottom of Murchison falls. Enjoy these spectacular waterfalls.

Day 4: Drive to Fort Portal::
After breakfast, you will depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive to Fort Portal. This is a day long drive through the scenic countryside. You will drive past numerous tea plantations before reaching Fort Portal in the evening. The lodge is located a few kilometers from the town center.

Day 5:Chimpanzee tracking and Swamp Walk in Kibale National Park:
After Breakfast you shall proceed to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking in the jungles. In the afternoon, you will take a walk through Bigodi Swamp which is a hub for numerous birds and primate species. Kibale National park is home for over 20 primate species and hundreds of birds species.

Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, have an evening Game drive:
After breakfast you will drive to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator along the way. You shall have an evening game drive in search of the vast animal species and birds. Queen Elizabeth National park boasts of a high diversity of plant and animal species.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon Boat ride on Kazinga Channel:
You start the day with an exciting early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, famously known World-over for it high Bio-diversity of Flora and Fauna. In the afternoon, take the amazing Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, revealing hundreds of Hippo as well as numerous Bird species some of which are seasonal “immigrants” from Europe.

Day 8: Drive to Ishasha sector and have a game drive:
Today you will drive to Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This sector is famous for the tree climbing lions. You will have a game drive searching out for tree climbing lions in the woodlands. Afterwards, you will check in at your lodge and relax.

Day 9: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
Today you start your journey to one of the most beautiful places in Uganda: Lake Bunyonyi which means a place with “many small birds. Along the way you shall have spectacular views of the terraces of the Ugandan mountains. This area is called the “Switzerland of Uganda”.

Day 10: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park:
This morning you will experience gorilla trekking which is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about gorillas, flora and fauna in this national park.

Day 11: Drive to Ruhengeri in Rwanda:
After breakfast you will drive to Rwanda fondly known as the “land of a thousand hills.” Enjoy the stunning landscapes along the way to Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is a national park in northwestern Rwanda. It covers 160 km² of rainforest and encompasses five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains, namely Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo.

Day 12: Activities in the Virunga Mountain Ranges and drive to Gisenyi:
The volcanic chain “Virunga” is a breathtaking beauty of old volcanoes rising almost 5000 meters, completely covered by dense, green rainforest.” You shall chose an activity to undertake;- Trek the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, Hike the 3,711 m high Mt Bisoke, or visit the grave of the famous gorilla researcher Dian Fossey or visit habituated Golden monkeys. In the afternoon, you shall leave Ruhengeri and proceed south to Gisenyi on Lake Kivu. You will take a walk through the fashionable lakeside resort, as well as to the border post with DR Congo.

Day 13: Relax at Lake Kivu:
Today you will choose to spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel; alternatively you may take a walk to the fashionable lake side resort, or go for a boat ride on the lake. Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes. It lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift. Lake Kivu empties into the Ruzizi River, which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika.

Day 14: Drive to Kigali and Departure:
Today, you will drive to Kigali City the capital of Rwanda. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way. Upon your arrival in Kigali, you will visit the Genocide Museum in Gisozi. In the evening you will drive to the Airport and take your flight back home.
