In January 2020 I visited the southwest of Uganda. Among other things, there is the well-known Mt. Elgon NP. Not far from the national park I was hiking near Sipi Falls. The area is approximately at an altitude of 1700 to 2000 m above sea level. The area is green, fertile and very rural. The landscape is breathtaking.

What is special about the landscape is that there are several plateaus with breaks in the terrain (cliffs), on which you can hike very nicely over several days. The view of the plain and the numerous waterfalls is breathtaking.

The tours usually last 4-8 hours. Multi-day tours with overnight stays in tents can also be carried out. In addition to hiking tours, you can also take part in cultural activities, coffee tours, MTB tours, abseiling etc. or go on trips to a nearby animal reserve.
