
Cairo is Opening – Covid-19
The Cairo Airport on 10th of July evening received eight international flights coming from Moscow, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Abuja, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai with a total of 1,519 passengers on board.
Sources at the Cairo Airport said that operation rates skyrocketed, especially to and from destinations in Europe and Arab countries as well the US.
All passengers were examined at the arrival hall at the Cairo Airport under the supervision of the director of airport quarantine, Hazem Hussein.
Cairo International Airport authorities have taken all precautionary measures to counter the coronavirus, in accordance with the instructions of the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health to ensure traveler safety by reducing congestion, especially at counters, inspection areas and elevators.
As part of the state’s anti-coronavirus protocols, social distancing signs have been installed at terminals, with travelers encouraged to wear masks inside all halls.
Thermal cameras have been also provided to examine passenger temperatures at the airport.
Plane crews and workers at the airport have also been subjected to medical examination.
