No! Depending on where you stay, a tour operator can arrange interactive walks, camel rides, community visits, and more. There is so much to do. For children under 12, I recommend a private vehicle so you can return to camp earlier. Another good idea is to book properties with swimming pools so children can play after lunch, prior to the afternoon game drive.
