Kenya or Tanzania Feb 2021
Question
I am in early planning stages for a safari in late Fen next year, or possibly the year after for my wife and I.
Tanzania is enticing due to the Wildebeest calving but I am leaning toward Kenya as apart from masses of Wildebeest the safari choices look easily as good with,I assume, less crowds to contend with.
I plan to use a local TO and would love some input on my initial itinerary;
- #1. 2 or 3 nights Samburu – Elephant Watch Camp
- #2. 2 nights Mara – Offbeat Mara
- #3. 3 nights Mara – Enaidura Camp

You will be completely happy with Kenya. If you can I’d spend 3 whole nights in Samburu. I was just there for the second time and it was simply magical. You’ll see various species there such as gerenuk, oryx, reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra which you won’t see in the Masai Mara. The birdwatching was also excellent.
You have made the right choice and your itinerary is fantastic. Just keep that way.
