September versus October for river crossings

Question

For travel to the northern Serengeti (Kogatende/Lamai) for migration river crossings, would mid September or mid October be better?

    My concern is that in mid September the wildebeests will have reached and settled in northern Serengeti and Masai Mara, so the action might not be as much as in August.
    I vote September (If you only sticky to the two months) because October great already be other side of mara river.
    Apart of great migration also very nice landscape and game drive around kuria hill it amazing catch up some cats. Along the mara river home of crocodiles , hippos.
