Not certain what you are looking for re: tips and advice. Don’t go out walking at night, take a taxi. Don’t go off with anyone, and there’ll be plenty of people there trying to get you to go with them someplace. Make sure you take normal safety precautions. You can have a relaxing and enjoyable time there. I have been in Zanzibar many many times!
