Transfer from Zanzibar to Pemba

Question

Hi!

I would like to know your opinions about the best and safest way for going from Zanzibar to Pemba. I understand there are fast ferries but how reliable and safe will that be? and How about flying?! I am kinda of scare of flying on light air crafts so that will be an issue !

    Hi!
    I’d definitely fly personally. That ferry crossing is often pretty rough. I felt far more afraid/uncomfortable being bounced about in the ferry than I ever have in any light aircraft.
    Safest ferry service from Zanzibar to Pemba is Azam ferry might be not fast with AZAM SEALINK its a big Cargo/Passenger ferry but better and reliable than most Other ferries. Daily Flights are also there but very costly would not advise for budget travellers!
