Travel plan for August

Question

Hi,

Me and my wife are planning a trip to Tanzania in August. We plan to arrive at Dar es Salaam on August 6th and leave on August 28th (no flights have been booked and we have the option to stay an extra week)

We are on a budget but want to go to SerengetiTarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. We would also like to spend some days on Zanzibar at the end of the trip.

  1. What else do you recommend doing/seeing in that time?
  2. Is it easy to go to neighboring countries, Rwanda or Uganda?
  3. How many days should we use on safari? We are not looking for high class safari and are fine with sleeping in a tent.

Is there a lot to see in the cities Dar es Salaam or Dodoma, should we spend some days there?

Thanks in advance

  1. Is it easy to go to neighboring countries, Rwanda or Uganda?

yes very easy by bus, plane or private vehicle

on the Northern circuit 7 days in August min. but if you want to see the migration then add three extra days.

Selous and Ruaha are also options but not really budget camping.
