Visiting Tanzania in March

Hi. I am planning a trip to Zanzibar from Abu Dhabi with a friend for Easter holidays which is from the 27th March. I hear this is not a good time to travel due to rain? Does it rain all the time or just an hours downpour and then sunny again?
Advice would be much appreciated!!!

It hardly ever rains all the time or all day. It rains for awhile then it clears up. That of course is typical, and weather is never typical. Even when it was not raining, the sky remained cloudy and it is was rare to see the sun 🙁 Among other things, precisely because of the period of heavy rains, many hotels are closed.
