Although a Big Five destination, you probably won’t see a lot of wildlife in the park. Animals are very dispersed and skittish, and there are almost no roads. There has been very little research and little is known of the wildlife in Limpopo, but a 2010 fixed-wing census of the park estimated 1,400 elephant and 1,050 buffalo, as well as healthy populations of sable, kudu and nyala.
