Zanzibar plans around September
Question
My husband and I had booked to stay in the Royal Zanzibar beach resort first 10 days of June, travelling from Madrid. However due to the situation we have cancelled and plan to go the last 10 days of September. We prefer it slightly lively and with a good beach for sunbathing and swimming all day so booked Nungwi. Question is is Nungwi still the best idea or somewhere else in September. We prefer a good 4 star or 5 star hotel all inclusive. Also are there must differences in hotel prices in September rather than June? Thanks in advance, Lindsay.

Nungwi is among the best beaches, but some places in Nungwi are busy, it will depend much on the location of your lodge. If you like village life Nungwi is the place!!
I loves kendwa which is a bit off from Nungwi. I also loves Paje and Pwani mchangani, both are beautiful white-sand beaches.
For Nungwi luxury properties try Hotel Riu palace, La gemma del est, my blue hotel, Royal resort. If on budget try Z-hotel, Amani bungalows, Flame tree, Nungwi Inn etc.
In Kendwa go for Gold Zanzibar. Or try kendwa rocks which is standard.
For paje try white sand, Kisiwa on the beach. For budget try crystal resort.
For Pwani mchangani try Neptune beach club, Ocean paradise resort, Mapenzi beach club, melia Zanzibar etc
